Introduction to the replacement cycle of internal materials of reverse osmosis water treatment equipment

Reverse osmosis water treatment equipment is designed to filter out all impurities in the water, and will not cause other application problems. However, during use, it should be noted that the internal material of the reverse osmosis water treatment equipment needs to be replaced regularly, if it is used for too long, it will reduce the effect of filtration, then how long does the replacement cycle of the internal material of the reverse osmosis water treatment equipment take?

Reverse osmosis water treatment equipment internal material replacement cycle

Softening resin:

Replacement cycle: the normal service life is about 8-24 months. Softened resin, cation exchange resin is a polymer with corresponding functional groups. In general, conventional sodium ion exchange resins carry a large amount of sodium ions. When the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water is high, the ion exchange resin can release sodium ions, and the functional groups combine with calcium and magnesium ions, so that the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water is reduced, the hardness of the water is reduced, and the hard water becomes soft water.

Precision filter element:

Replacement cycle: the normal service life is about 10-30 days. The filter is used to remove the residual suspended matter, non-curved particles and colloids in the water, so that the RO system, etc., the equipment is safer and more reliable. The filter element is 5um melt-blown filter element. The purpose is to prevent the upper filter unit from removing impurities larger than 5um that are missed. Prevent access to the reverse osmosis device from damaging the surface of the film, thereby damaging the desalting properties of the film.

Reverse osmosis RO membrane:

Replacement cycle: the normal service life is about 3-5 years. Reverse osmosis RO membrane is generally made of polymer materials. The diameter of the surface micropores is generally between 0.5 and 10nm, and the size of the permeability is related to the chemical structure of the film itself. The chemical structure of some polymer materials has more hydrophilic groups, so the water penetration rate is relatively fast. Therefore, a satisfactory reverse osmosis membrane should have an appropriate permeability or desalination rate, which can effectively remove dissolved salts, colloids, microorganisms, organic matter and so on.
