Softening water equipment how to properly add salt to keep the resin recycling?
Softening water equipment mainly uses ion exchange resin to remove hardness ions such as calcium and magnesium in water, when the ion exchange resin is saturated, it is necessary to carry out regeneration operation, at this time, it is necessary to regenerate the salt in the salt box. However, some customers do not understand the correct method of adding salt to the softened water equipment, and this article will introduce you to the correct method of adding salt to the softened water equipment.
The correct salt method for softening water equipment is as follows:
1. The amount of salt added is the amount of resin (L) multiplied by 0.24Kg, that is, the amount of salt used;
2. The time of adding salt should be consistent with the cycle of resin regeneration;
3. Strictly prohibit the use of industrial salt and iodized salt, iodine has a strong penetration of the surface of the resin particles, long-term use of iodized salt will reduce the surface strength, hardness, mechanical strength, volume expansion strength and circular curvature of the resin, the resin is easy to break, and the exchange capacity of the resin is reduced (refers to strong acid resin);
4. It is recommended that you put the salt into a cotton cloth bag, tie it, and put it into the salt box, which can effectively prevent the salt box pollution and salt absorption system blockage caused by insoluble particles;
5. The water level of the salt tank after adding salt shall not be lower than 2/3.
